The combination of temperature, humidity, air movement speed, radiant heat, and the rate at which heat is lost from the worker's body as a result of his work, including hot and cold pressure, determines the work climate.

The Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Index, which is derived from a calculation of the dry air temperature, ambient wet temperature, and bulb temperature, is a parameter used to measure the intensity of a hot working environment.

A workplace with a heat source and/or insufficient ventilation, or a workplace with a cold source and/or is due to operating requirements, is used for measurement and control of the work climate.
